Attack of the crawling baby!

Here are some photos of my little boy taken yesterday afternoon! Alexander is 7 months old and crawls EVERYWHERE! He does the "army crawl" where he drags himself everywhere by his arms! He is soo cute! Keep in mind that these are just snapshots (I think his head is sort of cut out of one)....but as I was snapping he was crawling after my camera! The one photo he is actually grabbing at my camera sort of like how the celebrities do to the papparazzi! And the last photo I caught him chewing on my Croc! It seems like babies and toddlers are drawn to my hot pink crocs...must be the color! Enjoy!

Senior Pics....Well sort of!

I wanted to practice doing Senior Photos, but had no Seniors to practice on. My niece volunteered to be my Senior! She graduated two years ago but-oh well-it works! After that experience I decided that I DO NOT want to do Senior photography! With my equipment limitations (I have very basic equipment), the sunny conditions, and my lack of experience- it was a frustrating shoot! I do think that I was able to get a couple ok shots. At least the experience showed me my limitations!

My First Post for the Photo Of The Day!

This is my first picture for the Photo Of The Day Two Peas Post! I'm going to at least try to post every other day! Today has been an extremely busy day. My husband Chris is finally finishing up remodeling our house! Yipeee! It's been a year now since we have started remodeling! Now that we're finishing up I have the task of putting everything back in order! It is soo time consuming! Once we are finished I will have to post some photos of the final job! Anyhow like I said today has been really busy, but I managed to take a quit photo of our dog "Allie!" I took the photo in the shade and tried used photoshop to take away alot of color to make it look sort of old and worn. It was really quick and so was the edit, please go easy on me- this is my first try! Have a wonderful day!

Fun at camp!

It seems like forever since my last blog! We decided to go to my parent's camp for vacation this year. We had a great time! Camp was filled with lots of magical things, like two feet high weeds that Ben had fun playing in....a playground full of monster trucks & tractors with sliding boards attached....and a petting zoo! Whenever we first got there Ben was very frightened of the high weeds. He stayed in the mowed area and would not go into the weeds. By the end of the week he was running in and out of the weeds and having a blast! Ben's latest obsession is golf! He wants to be just like his daddy and just like Tiger Woods! When he watches Tiger Woods at home he giggles everytime he hits the ball! He loves Tiger! When you ask him who he would like to be when he grows up, he either says "Tiger" or "Pap-Pap!" We really had a great time! Enjoy the slideshow!

The Wiggles

My little boy is obsessed with The Wiggles! After watching the DVD yesterday for hours and hours I decided to take a look at their website. Anyhow I saw that they were going to be in my town for a concert so.....today I bought tickets to take my son! I'm excited because it's a few days before his birthday and I know he'll have a blast! He doesn't really understand the concept that we are actually going to see The Wiggles live, but I'm more excited than he is! I have a secret crush on the Blue Wiggle (Anthony)! lol I'm also a little disappointed that the Yellow Wiggle doesn't tour with them anymore! :(
But I think they are awesome! I could watch them over and over again! It's funny because they have all of these dances that they do while they sing. I'll stand up and start doing the dance, and my son will look at me and say "NO!" He obviously doesn't like my dancing! lol But I'll keep everyone updated on the concert! I thought it would be cool if we all dressed like The Wiggles, each in a different color shirt! I'm having too much fun with this, I need to go to bed! lol

Stupid Sewing Machine!!!!!

I became totally stressed out today! I found a cute pattern for a wristlet bag/wallet type of thing. I'm very sewing-impaired! I can't hand sew, and I can't even figure out my stupid machine! I've always wanted to sew and create things so a couple years ago on Mother's Day my husband bought me a sewing machine. I hate having to read instructions on how to operate things so I had my husband read it because I became extremely frustrated trying to figure it out on my own. So ever once in a while when I got the urge to sew I would have him set it up for me! Anyhow....today I got the urge to make a wristlet! (By the way-I'm pattern impaired too)! I found this pattern that I finally could understand, my husband set up the machine when he got home from work this morning and he went to bed. I started to sew and I got one line done and the thread got all messed up! I was soo frustrated, I had to read the manual. I was running out of time, the baby was napping and I just wanted to get this wristlet done! Well I ended up reading the manual the whole time until the baby woke up, and I still couldnt' figure out what was wrong. The good thing is that I learned a whole lot about my sewing machine (which excites me) and when my husband woke up we figured out the problem! And believe it or not I finished my wristlet! It's not perfect but there is a patterned liner on the inside and a little strap and the zipper works! I'm tickled pink!

Strange Birds......

I was at my sister's house the other day and we discovered a bird's nest right in the middle of her gravel driveway! Stupid bird! It is a killdeer and it was always sitting in the middle of her driveway. It would fly away if we got near only to return a few minutes later. We walked down to investigate and there it was four little eggs among the gravel! How cute! We were careful driving up the road and in a few days the babies hatched safe and sound!
